i love my summer so far. spending everyday with my boyfriend without worrying about going home in less then a week is blissful. it's boring during the day while he's at work but i look forward to the time that 5o'clock rolls around. i'm glad for deciding to spend my summer in ottawa with him.

saturday we leave for northern ontario (hearst) for a week. his brother gets married on the 25th. i'm excited and happy i get to be a part of his family celebration.

i love life :)

ps. my mom is getting remarried on saturday, so nuts.

I haven't had livejournal for too long and I don't use it for too much other then to read communities. However, I realize that I should probably post more often because it would be a great way to make friends and have people to talk to. Something I sometimes feel that I lack when I'm having a problem! I've recently realized how many great communities there were (that were full of many great people) so I would love to become a part of it all. I'm sure that updating my journal and telling others more about me would allow me to be a better part in communities as well as make new friends. So:

My names Amanda and I'm 19, I'll be 20 in September (the 21st to be exact). I was born and raised in New Jersey. I am currently in college majoring in Early Childhood Education. I love children and babysit/nanny for a living - and have for the past 9ish years! I would like to become a teacher or own a daycare.

I'm in a LDR with a wonderful boy. We've been together for over a year (though our official meeting date was Sept 19th when he came over for my birthday!). He lives in Ottawa, Ontario and I live in New Jersey, US. I get to see him often because luckily my mom works for an airline so I get to fly for free (I pay taxes on the ticket which is 35$ to go see him!) and he gets to fly on a buddy pass which gives him a lower rate as well. So I consider myself really lucky!

So things I am interested in! I spend a lot of time on my computer. I like to play Counter-Strike and other games on the computer. I like games that require a lot of thinking, like "brain games". I also LOVE to read. I mean, I admit it's mostly teen fiction but I do have a lot of books and enjoy spending time reading. I have a few favorite TV shows (Grey's Anatomy, House, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl) and a lot of favorite movies. I LOVE music and have a lot of it! I listen to all sorts of music so naming my favorite bands gets tough.

Overall, I'm a really caring person. I love to make friends and be there to listen if someone needs to talk. I'm not judgmental and I'm a great listener. So, feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like!
